What Gent's Okumu Did Before Receiving A Yellow Card in UEFA Conference League Against Anorthosis

It has been another scintillating Thursday as several UEFA Europa Leagues continued. One that many Kenyans were following is a club in Belgium that Joseph Okumu plays for.

Gent hosted Greece side Anorthosis in a heavily contested encounter. Okumu who has proved to be a reliable centre back defender started the match.

The home side got a comfortable win after Tissoudali and Kums scored goals in the 28th and 81st minutes respectively. The win now means Gent tops Group B with four points.

Okumu did a wonderful job in defence as he kept Anorthosis strikers quiet throughout the match. Sadly he was booked after bringing down Anorthosis striker outside the box in the second half.

In my view, the Kenyan footballer has proved beyond reasonable doubt that he can play even in the English Premier League. He has the energy, pace and physicality that is required in EPL.

What is your opinion on Okumu's performance today?
