The 42nd edition of the London Marathon took place on Sunday 2/9/2022 in London. Kenya's athletes who took place in the Marathon didn't disappoint as they took home a number of medals including gold.
Ethiopia's Marathon runner Yalemzerf Yehualaw won the women's race in two hours, 17 minutes and 25 seconds - the third fastest women's London Marathon time ever.

Kenyan Athlete Amos Kipruto won the London Marathon after crossing the finish line in 2 hours, 4 minitus and 39 seconds. In March of this year, Kipruto, who came in second in the Tokyo Marathon, won his first World Marathon Major championship.
