Sofapaka defeated Tusker FC 2-0 during a friendly match at Ruaraka after they parted ways with their head coach Kennedy Odhiambo.
The visitors won the match courtesy of Jacob Onyango and Hansel Ochieng goals in the second half.

On Wednesday, the club had announced the sacking of head coach Kennedy Odhiambo and former Harambee starlet coach David Ouma taking over.
However, Sofapaka president Elly Kalekwa has come out to refute claims that they fired Odhiambo because of a poor run in the Football Kenya Federation Premier League.
Although the club is not displaying good performance, Kalekwa confirmed that the club did not sack coach Kennedy, but he left the club voluntarily to attend to pressing family matters.

The president further confirmed the club statement that David Ouma will take over the club with immediate effect and that he believes things will change and the club's performance will be better.
Sofapaka are currently placed 13th with 27 points.
