Real Madrid dealt with Another injury blow to one of its key defenders

Real Madrid are now sweating on fitness issues of their key left back Ferland Mendy. The 25 year old French left back suffered a calf injury after picking up a knock.

Confirming in their official website, the blancos reveled that " Following the tests carried out on our player Ferland Mendy by real Medical Department, he has been diagnosed with a overload of soleus muscle in his left leg."

With the player sidelined for 10 days, he is likely to miss the key champions league clash scheduled on 27th April. This has provided a major setback for Zinadine following key injuries to other key players.

Sergio Ramos is still in the medical room, Varane who tested positive for Covid is also sidelined. To add to the injury list is Lucaz Vazquez who has been sidelined for the rest of the season following knee ligament injury. This adds to the growing injury list considering Carvajal is also on the long term injury list.

This has provided Zinadine with tough decisions to make with a run of fixtures in the crucial stages of Laliga and Champions duel with chelsea in the semi finals
