The France international has not shown any signs of extending his current deal. As a result of this, Arsenal have started looking for quality options to replace Alexander Lacazette when he finally departs and Mikel Arteta is looking at the Fiorentina striker as one of the options.
Vlahovic scored 21 goals in 37 Serie A appearances last season. His brilliant performances has got the eye of many clubs from both the Premier league and Serie A. Some of the clubs that have been pursuing the striker include Juventus, Manchester City, Tottenham and Arsenal. However, Arsenal is the only club that has shown a clear interest in the striker.
Despite speculation of a move away from the Serie A club in the summer, Dusan Vlahovic opted to stay at Fiorentina with the club hopeful that he was going to sign a new long term contract. Despite their efforts, Fiorentina are unable to convince the Serbian to sign a new deal.
According to Gazzetta Dello sport, the Fiorentina striker is dreaming of a move to Serie A side Juventus. Vlahovic has been tipped to make a move to Juventus just like former Viola teammate Federico Chiesa. However, Arsenal could still make an effort to sign the striker given that Juventus have not shown a serious interest in the Serbian international.
Arsenal might sign the young striker for a cut price in the coming winter transfer because the player has rejected the club's latest renewal offer and Fiorentina will be open to selling their star man in January to avoid losing him for nothing in the summer. According to La Gazzetta, Fiorentina owner Rocco Commisso has set a €90 million asking price for the striker. However this would significantly reduce owing to the contractual situation the club is currently facing.
Although the striker has been linked with other clubs such as Atletico Madrid, Tottenham and Manchester City, it is Juventus that pose a great threat in Arsenal's bid to sign the striker. After successfully signing Federico Chiesa, the Bianconeri may be planning to sign the player in a similar deal. Arsenal have however shown that they are not afraid to spend big and the Fiorentina star might be the next star signing for the gunners.
