Manchester United are understood to be looking for a manager who can steer the club into the right direction after they were battered 5-0 by Liverpool in a Premier League match on Sunday.
Reports indicate that they were going to engage former Chelsea and Italy manager Antonio Conte but they are already rethinking the decision. According to United District with a citation from Caught Offside, Conte engaged in a transfer saga while at Chelsea.
“Conte and his agent Federico Pastorello are alleged to have made arrangements where they aimed to influence Marina Granovskaia’s signings at Chelsea in an attempt to pocket a percentage of the relevant player agent’s fees. #mufc are concerned about this,” a tweet read.
It is further reported that it is the same transfer saga that made Tottenham CEO Daniel Levy sign former Wolves manager Nuno Espirito at the expense of Antonio Conte who managed Chelsea between 2016 and 2018.
