Highschool In Kenya With A National Football Club That Produces Very Talented Footballers

The school is none other than Kakamega boys highschoo. It is one of the best performing schools not only in Wesyern region but also nationwide. It is located in Lurambi subcounty, Kakamega county and it was founded in 1932 thus one of the oldest institutions in the country. The school is the only highschool in Kenya with a national football club. A majority of renowned local players who have made fortunes in the world of football started out at Kakamega highschool.
It is said that the school has invested in identifying talented footballers in such a way that there is a stream for only footballers who are posted to play nationally some are in the Kakamega Homeboyz and other KPL teams. Among renowned players who schooled at Kakamega High School are Bonventure Maruti, Dennis Oliech, Joseph ‘Crouch’ Okumu and Eric ‘Marcelo’ Ouma. Congratulations for the school in making sure that talents are uplifted.
