The Premier League action is finally back after two weeks of the long international break and its fair to say its a big relief for many of us who had two boring weekends.
Having already been a witness to an entertaining opening eight game-weeks, Premier League fans were very anxious to see what matchday 9 had in store for them and to kick off things was a clash at St.James Park between Newcastle United and Chelsea.
With Lampard's new signings starting to get used to the Premier League, the blues have looked threatening and many expected them to take all three points today against a Newcastle side which has not been so great this season.
Chelsea took an early lead through an own goal from Federico Fernandez after little pressure from Ben Chilwell forced him to turn Mason Mount's cross into his own net.
However, there was a moment of frustration from Chelsea fans as Timo Werner missed a sitter in the 30th minute when he skewed a clear chance and miss the chance to make it 2-0.
That miss did not go down well with Chelsea fans who know how well missed opportunities can be punished and thus took to social media to attack their striker.
