Germany-based football media Onefootball has today published a team of the season proposed by Matt Frohlich.
Most European leagues will end their season this coming weekend. In England, Manchester City has already been crowned Champions but the fight for a Champions League spot will be the one to look out for.
In Italy and Germany, Inter Milan and Bayern Munich have all been crowned champions in their domestic leagues. However, in Spain and France, the winners will be determined in the final matches on the weekend.
Let's have a look at Matt Frohlich's European team of the season;
Goalkeeper; Mike Maignan (Lille)
The Lille and French goalkeeper has been outstanding this season. He has been involved in a big part of Lille's incredible season as they look to stop PSG's dominance in the French league. Lille currently leads League 1 with 80 points, 1 ahead of PSG with only one game remaining.
Left Back; Theo Hernandez(AC Milan)
Theo Hernandez has been superb for AC Milan as they look to get back into the champions league next.
Center Back; Jose Fonte (Lille)
Both Mike Maignan and Jose Fonte have been solid at the back for Lille. He has played in the EPL for both Southampton and West Ham.
Center Back; Reuben Dias (Manchester City)
Reuben Dias seems to have fixed Pep Guardiola's at the back. Manchester City is now EPL winners and is also in the UEFA Champions League final.
Right Back; Achraf Hakimi (Inter Milan)
Hakimi has excellent in Conte's 3-4-3 formation for Inter Milan. He has been terrific on the right-hand side for Inter Milan.
Midfielder; Ilkay Gundogan
The German has played well this season. He has been creative and has been scoring goals even when Kevin De Bruyne is absent.
Midfielder; Marcos Llorente (Atletico Bilbao)
The Spanish midfielder has been playing well for Diego Simeone's side. He has been a big part of the successful Atletico side who currently top La Liga.
Attacking Midfielder; Lionel Messi
He has 30 goals so far in La Liga this season. Although Barcelona is out of the La Liga title race, Messi has been handy in Barcelona's season.
Attacker; Romelu Lukaku
Lukaku has played a big part in Inter's Seria A success this season. He has scored 26 goals.
Attacker; Erling Haaland
The young Norwegian has helped Borussia Dortmund to secure a Champions League spot. He is the top scorer in the Champions League.
Attacker; Robert Lewandowski
Robert Lewandowski recently matched Gerd Muller's record of scoring 40 goals in Bundesliga. He currently leads the race for the European Golden shoe with 40 goals, 10 above Lionel Messi who is second.
