Chelsea faced Manchester City at Stamford Bridge on Saturday.
The Blues were the favourites of winning the match since they had managed to beat Manchester City on a number of occasions last season. However, Pep Guardiola had different plans.
Manchester City was the better team since the first minute of the match despite being the away team. Their attack was fluid and they were quick in recovering the ball whenever they lost possession. They also had a good number of chances but were just unlucky as the opening half ended in a stalemate.
The Cityzens came with more strength in the second half and Gabriel Jesus is the man who found the back of the net in the 67th minute. Manchester City should have scored more than three goals but they wasted their chances.
Chelsea fans pointed out the problem which Chelsea had. It was in their midfield. Tuchel had started with five midfielders: Kante, Kovacic, Jorginho, James and Alonso.
James got injured and he was substituted in the first half. The other midfielders also had a bad day. Kante and Jorginho were substituted in the second half. Jorginho had a poor display and fans wondered whether it was the same player who was contesting for the Ballon d'or. See reactions from fans down below.
