From a legendary boxer to a street girl, Conjestina Achieng' life turned upside down.

The legendary ex-boxer Conjestina Achieng' has shocked many after photos of her were shared online.

It has been reported that the Kenyan hero is now living a miserable life in her native home in Yala, Siaya county. The reports indicate that she now lives as a street girl by begging.

Conjestina nicknamed 'Hands of Stone', was a hero in boxing in the 2000s after winning several international awards for the country. She later retired from boxing in 2007.

In 2018, her plight came into light after it was reported that she was into drugs.The former Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko offered to take her to rehab where she battled into recovery. In 2020, NACADA reported that she was receiving her treatments well. She left and went back to her home in Siaya.

In August 2021, it was reported that Conjestina had burnt down her house and clothes but luckily saved her belts she won during her competitions.

Her mother is also reported to be battling mental issues.

Kenyans continue to call upon the government and the various sporting agencies to recognize the country's heroes by helping Conjestina get the help she needs.
