Following a series of unconvincing results at Watford Fc, the governing board has made a painful decision to sack Claudio Ranieri. Ranieri had just been in charge of Watford for a period of three and a half months.
The dismissal was majorly triggered by Friday night’s humiliation of 3-0 defeat suffered at the hands of their relegation neighbours Norwich City. Watford currently lies 18th on the English Premier league table.
It will be the third time in a season that Watford are sacking a coach. They had hoped to survive relegation but as things stand, it will be an uphill task that may require some magical superpower.
Ranieri’s major managerial achievement came in the 2015-16 season, when he led Leicester from relegation favourites to the Premier League title. It was expected that he would manage to replicate the same kind of achievement at Watford. Ranieri only managed to win seven points during his time in charge.
