Top English clubs have been dealt a blow after Borrusia Dortmund slapped a suitors-send off fee of £172M on any club in need of their star Erling Haaland. The Norwegian is not only on the English clubs radar but also on Spanish giants Real Madrid as well as their rivals Barcelona. With such a large amount of fee placed on the player of his age, it is clear that an investment may be impossible from any of the admirers given this Covid 19 period.
But again, taking a look at whether the English Premier League top teams can afford the fee. Well it's still possible for Manchester United, Manchester City and Chelsea to raise the money but think about splashing such a large sum on just one player when a club can invest I maybe other two players with almost the same strength.
For instance, for£172M, Manchester United will definitely try to secure a player like Sancho at less £100 and another player at the same time to strengthen their week points. However, we are still keeping a close eye on whether suitors will be taking offers for the player.
