Tottenham hot spur and France goalkeeper, Hugo Lloris has announced his retirement from international football.

Lloris has played for more than 14 years for the french national team ,and he is the most capped player for the national team after making 145 appearances for the team.
He won the 2018 world cup with France, 2020-2021 Nations league and was the captain for the national team that reached the final in Qatar world cup where they lost to Argentina.

Hugo Lloris had this to say about his decision to retire;
"There comes a time when you have to know how to pass the hand," he told L'Equipe . "I don't want to make it my own, I've always said and repeated that the France team doesn't belong to anyone, and we all have to make sure that's the case, me first. I think that behind [me], the team is ready to continue, there is also a goalkeeper who is ready [Maignan]."
He further added that his family consideration contributed to this decision.
"There is also a family choice, I feel the need to spend more time with my wife and my children."
