MNU 2-1 VIL: The Only Reason Why Manchester United Won Against Villarreal At Old Trafford

Manchester United was almost drawing with Villareal once again in the UEFA Champions League clash but Cristiano Ronaldo's last-minute strike earned them three points at Old Trafford to jump third on group F. Unai Emery's men opened the scoring in the second half after a tough first half but Brazilian Alex Telles equalized minutes later.

Man United Coach changed his tactics

Ole Gunnar Solkjaer who has in the previous days developed trust issues with the red devil's fans after the so-called poor tactical plan had to prove himself after the brilliant tactics he introduced in the second half for his team. The red devils who seemed so sloppy in the first half appeared to dominate the game In the other half.

Solskjaer made two decisive substitutes in the late hours to bring Fred for Paul Pogba and Jesse Lingard for Mason Greenwood. Lingard, therefore, assisted the winning goal to Ronaldo who swiftly placed it past the Villareal goalkeeper. The English international had also good chances of scoring but the shot-stopper denied him the chance after a superb display.
