Premier League Club Has Sacked Their Coach Following Bad Results After The Game

Just 200 days after joining the club, Everton have sacked Rafa Benitez after the Toffees’ embarrassing 2-1 defeat at Norwich City proved the final nail in the coffin for the Liverpool legend.

Everton club was planning to sacked Rafa Benitez after yesterday emergency meeting. Board were considering two candidates shortlist to find a replacement.

Benitez was never a popular appointment at Goodison Park when he was signed up to replace Carlo Ancelotti in June, after the Italian left Merseyside for Madrid.

Everton sit in 15th place, just six points clear of the relegation zone and will hope that whoever replaces Benitez can bring better results.

Everton have won just once in the Premier League since September and travelling supporters at Carrow Road turned their anger on the Spaniard and the club's board at the end of their latest defeat.

Following this sack, Derby County manager and former Everton player, Wayne Rooney is tipped to become next manager, with Benitez’s assistant, Duncan Ferguson also in contention.
