The January transfer window is two months away when clubs will return to the market in search of new talents to strengthen their squads. With the African Cup of Nations tournament on the horizon, some clubs will be missing their stars players in January hence there is a need for new signings.
Arsenal is one of the top clubs in the English Premier League that will lose Thomas Partey and Mohammed Elneny this January as the two will head to represent Ghana and Egypt respectively in the AFCON. The Gunners will therefore look for a temporary replacement this January to fill the two voids left by Partey and Elneny.
Among the names proposed by Arsenal fans includes Manchester United outcast Donny Van De Beek who is looking to leave Manchester United in January due to lack of game time. While reacting to the AFTV post, the majority of Arsenal fans have welcomed the idea of bringing the former Ajax superstar to the Emirates Stadium.
Arsenal fans said the Dutchman is still young and would perfectly fit into Mikel Arteta's system of young players. He can play as an attacking midfielder as well as a defensive and holding midfielder.
However, if the Gunners will buy the idea of signing the Dutchman, they will have to battle it out with Everton who has also launched another interest in landing Van De Beek this January. Everton tried to sign him last summer but Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solkjaer blocked the move.
