AFCON

Bad news as Harambee Stars is set to be kicked off from Afcon qualifiers matches by CAF.

Good morning and welcome to my daily sports updates.Tap on the follow link on the top right corner if you haven't done so to receive more news.Welcome.

Kenya national team Harambee Stars was grouped among Cameroon, Burundi and Namibia. However, according to sports journalist Kevin Teya, the national team is set to be kicked off from the group after the government failed to meet CAF obligations. The country will be forced to do without international matches for many years. Most of the players will have retired while others will be approaching their last years of their careers.

The likes of Michael Olunga now 28 years will have retired when Kenya finally returns to international matches. It is a bad news to the players, the country and the football fans.Unfortunately, the country was given a mandate to resolve its issues but failed to do so in time. Two months and nothing happened until its now time for CAF to kick out the team.Something has to be done in Kenyan football management. It is unusual, it is unfair, it is hard to swallow, but it is what is going to happen. SORRY KENYAN FANS.
