Premier League Condemn Man United Fans Actions Amid Cheers From Fans on Postponement of the Tie

The biggest game of the English Premier League calendar has officially been postponed. The Premier League will decide the new dates for the derby.

The Premier League have since released a statement condemning the acts but understand and respect the feelings of fans.

“We understand and respect the strength of feeling but condemn all acts of violence, criminal damage and trespass, especially given the associated COVID-19 breaches."

The protests today were largely peaceful, spoilt only by a minority at Old Trafford that forced the police to act as per journalist Samuel Luckhurst.

On the other hand, Protesters at the Lowry are celebrating after hearing the game is off. They are chanting: “We’ll decide when you can play.” People are cheering and hugging, claims Manchester Evening News.

Liverpool have also released a statement claiming they are in full agreement on the decision to postpone today's fixture.

I'll keep on updating you on the turn of events. Stay alarmed.
