Arsenal: Vieira Finally Announces Himself- The Player Who Has to Work Harder to Reclaim His Place

In Sunday's win, Fabio Vieira was arguably Man of the Match for his outstanding performance on his full debut. The Portuguese was very composed in his role as the number 10 and worked perfectly in sync with Bukayo Saka in the right wing. His goal was his golden moment as he sealed the win for the Gunners and had the game in cruise control from there on.

Although he did not emulate Odegaard’s strong midfield presence, he was very offensive minded and played in between pockets to open up the wings for the wide attackers. His unpredictable gamestyles may have played a key role in his goal since many Brentford defenders were not expecting him to score from a distance, consequently giving him more than enough space to have a go at goal. After his audacious perfomance, fans are expecting even more goals from him in the foreseeable future.

Arteta was very happy with Vieira’s performance and had this to say, “He has proven to be a gem for us. He has offered a new flavor in the squad and my technical staff is happy to have such a young player that can be molded to a top grade talent. We have very big plans for him in the foreseeable future.”

Martin Odegaard Should definitely start feeling the heat…

Following Sunday’s Masterclass for Vieira, fans are now confident that Odegaard will return to squad guns blazing. Vieira has posed himself as a threat to Odegaard’s presence in the starting eleven and hopefully that will continue to be the case throughout the season. If the pressure is kept at a maximum I think Odegaard could reach his full potential this season without a shadow of doubt.

Odegaard is currently out with a calf injury but the medical team has assured the public that there is nothing worth stressing about. The Norwegian was called up to his National team which means that his recovery will be quicker than many had anticipated. Arteta will certainly be counting on his return before the hot contest against Spurs at the Emirates.

Will Odegaard maintain his place in the starting eleven?
