Currently aged 36 years old, Tottenham Hotspurs and France goalkeeper Hugo Lloris's recently announced his retirement from international football.
"I don't want to make it own, I have always said and repeated that the France team doesn't belong to anyone and we will have to make sure that's the case, me first.I think that the team is ready to continue, there is also a goalkeeper who is ready.There comes a time when you know how to pass the hand," he said after his retirement.
With France national team, Lloris has achieved a lot since marking his debut in 2008.Some of these achievements and records are as follows:
1. Most capped goalkeeper by a national team in the world (145 caps)
2. Most capped footballer in the history of France national team (145 caps)
3. Goalkeeper with the most FIFA World Cup appearances (20)
4. France national team captain for 10 years
5. 2 time FIFA World Cup finalist (2018, 2022) and one time winner (2018)
6. UEFA Nations League winner (2021)
