Amos Kipruto's Wife Speaks Moments After he Wins

Today Kenyans joined the world to compete in the TSC London marathon. In the women's category, Ethiopian Yalemzerf Yehualaw took the lead in the 2022 London Marathon whereas Kenya came second in a time of 2:18:07 thereby winning a silver medal. In the men's category, Amos Kipruto came first in a time of 2:04:38.

Kenyans have therefore come out in celebration of the two heros who represented the nation today in London. In his own village, Kabongwa village, Amos Kipruto's family is spotted singing and dancing to heroic and celebratory songs. Upon being interviewed by an NTV journalist, his wife Jennifer Samoei revealed that Amos had called her early today before the competition began. Jennifer reveals that in that private conversation, he revealed to her that he was going to do his best and she responded by telling him that God is with him.

Amos Kipruto's wife: I'm so happy (about his win). Tuliongea na yeye (Kipruto) asubuhi akaniambia anaenda kujikaza; nikamwambia Mungu ako na yeye.
