Kenyans Attack Millicent Omanga After Posting This About Kenya's Female Volleyball Team

Nairobi based politician Senator Millicent Omanga has attracted a lot of mixed reactions online after her comments on Kenya's Volleyball team.

The ladies did a great job and won against Nigeria making it to the Olympics for the first time in history.

She went ahead and wrote a good congratulatory message for the team and wish them well.

''THIS IS WHAT KENYA IS MADE OF! HISTORY-MAKING. KENYA BEACH VOLLEYBALL TEAM BEATS NIGERIA IN THE FINAL TO QUALIFY FOR OLYMPICS GAMES FOR THE FIRST TIME. WE ARE PROUD OF OUR GIRLS ''FOR BRAGGING THE SOLE TICKET. Kenya are Women's Continental Cup Champions 🔥🔥🔥. #MamaMiradi.'' Senator Millicent Omanga posted on her official Facebook account.

However, Netizens had other reactions and reflections on the statement about the winning.

Many Kenyans bashed Mama Miradi for only posting about the young ladies after a win and when they need help, no one is there to support them.

They added that politicians should be more supportive as Kenyans go out of their way to make the country proud but politicians bring it down.

Here are a few of the commentaries as shared by Kenyans on social media.

Sian Tobiko, ''I really think this is not fair whoever design 4 them uniform mbinguni utaonea viusasa..look @Nigeria r a bit neat anyway...congratulations.''

Patrick Sitati, ''Ordinary Kenyans are making us proud, it's u politicians letting us down. Looting our money, corruption in the parliament etc. Tuliwazoea.''

Sanchez Kelly, ''Congratulations but the way they are hugging waah mutahi Kagwe come we talk behind that tent 😂😂😂😂.''

Cleo Porter, ''It's a good thing from our ladies but the problem is that this country only cares about our people flying it's flag in these competitions and after that they are left and forgotten after everything is over.''

Miriam, ''Kenyans are doing so well, but as usual, they will be forgotten by our politicians who are quick to post them on social media like this one here.''

Collins Sunga, ''Congratulations Kenya queens, they should mind about the attire at the Olympic.''

Samuel Ongechi, ''Can beach volleyball be held in Nairobi? (Though the largest water body is the Ruai sewer complex)''

Njesh Mercy, ''Mama Miradi, help these ladies when they are at home, sio kutupostia tu hapa Facebook.''

Jules, ''Their dressing is wanting, but our leaders will never see that.''

Xilent C Mambe, ''We wait to congratulate our champions only after they perform but it doesn't concern us when they are in need. This is Kenya my country.''

Koko, ''Mama Miradi support hawa watu hata wakiwa home.''
