Arsenal and Chelsea's rivalry has not always been on the pitch but also out of it most notably in the transfer market. The two clubs are always fighting to sign players and Chelsea have always seemed to steal from Arsenal. In August it was Kalidou Koulibaly from Napoli and Cucurella from Brighton. This time round it is Mykhaylo Mudryk from Shakhtar Donetsk.Shakhtar Donetsk and Ukraine forward Mykhaylo Mudryk was linked with a move to Arsenal ever since the January transfer window opened. The two clubs and the player had already come to agreement and the only thing left was medicals and signing of a contract at Chelsea. However in the last minutes that is yesterday,a section of Chelsea's owners flew to Poland and had direct talks with Mudryk whom they managed to convince to join them. The London club paid the 100 million signing fee and flew the player to London for the medicals and signing of the seven year contract. As of yesterday,Mudryk had become a Chelsea player and was in the stands during their game against Crystal Palace. The reason Mudryk chose Chelsea over Arsenal was for the big amount of salary he was offered.Unless Arsenal are ready to start spending big,Chelsea and other clubs will always steal signings from them.
