In regards to the above a female athlete has been found murdered in a house in Iten town.

The upcoming athlete has been identified as 24-year-old Damaris Muthee Mutua.
She was allegedly killed by an Ethiopian athlete known as Koki Fai who reportedly fled from the country after the ordeal.
Her collegues are the ones that alarmed the police after the alleged killer called from outside the country saying he had killed Damaris Muthee Mutua.
This comes after Kenyans also lost World 10,000m bronze medalist Agnes Tirop after she was found dead in Iten in october last year
Tirop was found dead in her house with stab wounds in the neck and abdomen.
