Four senior managers will be probably hunting for work in 2023

After the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar, the 2022–23 season has officially begun, and action will be plentiful. Managers will have the difficult task of ensuring that their teams produce results every week. Coaches at major clubs around Europe will be under additional pressure because failing to live up to expectations could result in their dismissal. If that's the case, a number of important managers will be lined up and ready to be hired as potential replacements.

In light of that, the following four prominent managers will be looking for employment in 2023:

1.Mauricio Pochettino

Argentine Mauricio Pochettino is one manager that will be competing for a management position this year. After leaving Paris Saint-Germain last summer, the 50-year-old has been jobless ever since. The former Tottenham manager was fired from his position at the Pariains and replaced by Christophe Galtier despite having one year remaining on his contract and leading the team to victory in Ligue 1 in 2021–2022 season. Following England's World Cup 2022 quarterfinal elimination, Pochettino has recently been mentioned as a potential manager for the English national team.

In 2023, he might perhaps play again in the Premier League if the chance arises.

2. Luis Enrique

As Barcelona's manager, he won two La Ligas, three Copas de Reys, and the UEFA Champions League. In 2023, Enrique plans to make a comeback to club football with a prestigious European club. He might also be willing to continue playing for the national team.

3. Thomas Tuchel

One of the most prominent managers in Europe, German tactician Thomas Tuchel, lost his position in 2022. Just a few weeks into the 2022–23 season, the 49-year-old was let go by the new Chelsea ownership group, which is led by Todd Boehly. Tuchel had guided the Blues to the FA Cup and Carabao Cup finals the season before. In addition, he placed third in the league and advanced to the UEFA Champions League quarterfinals. He was fired as a result of a run of disappointing performances at the beginning of the current season, a falling-out with some first-team players, as well as the new club owners. Since leaving Stamford Bridge, Tuchel has been connected with a few teams, although he is still unemployed.

4. Zinedine Zidane

Another well-known manager who is now unemployed is Zinedine Zidane. Since the end of his second stint in charge of Los Blancos in 2021, the former Real Madrid manager has been on vacation. Top teams like Manchester United, PSG, and Chelsea have been linked to him, but no deal has been struck. The 50-year-old will want to return to the action as soon as possible after taking two years off to rest.

Zidane was reportedly mentioned as a potential Didier Deschamps replacement for the France team role recently. However, the World Cup champion coach recently extended his agreement with Le Blues until 2026, putting an end to such rumors.
