Man Utd: Ajax Announce Price Tag on Ten Hag’s Top Target, Prolific Attacker Searching for New Club

Antony

Dutch giants Ajax have slapped an €80 Million price tag on attacking maestro Antony who is a top target for Manchester United. After exploratory talks with the club, the winger was able to convince Ajax to listen to offers regarding him but unfortunately for him, it will cost an arm and a leg for his next club to have him. Since Manchester United are the only club after him, they have a chance of signing him for a bargainable price but that again won’t be easy since Frenkie De Jong also costs within that range of valuation.

With this said, Erik Ten Hag will have to make a very difficult decision of whether to continue pursuing De Jong and leave out Antony or vice versa. The difference between the two players however is that Antony is willing to join Manchester United and reunite with Erik Ten Hag but the same cannot be said about Frenkei De Jong since he wants to stay at Barcelona.

James Rodriguez

According to Fabrizio Romano, PSV have no intentions of signing James Rodriguez this summer despite the player’s strong desire to return to European football. The Italian journalist further added that replacing Mario Gotze is not a priority at the moment for PSV since they want to try things in a different way and Xavi Simons, the latest signing, can help a lot in that department. This now means that James Rodriguez is still in the market and ready to join any team regardless of their underqualifications.

Instead of waiting in Christian Eriksen who will eventually choose to sign with Brentford, Manchester United should be making a run for James Rodriguez. His age might be a cause of concern but during his short stint at Everton, he proved to be a potent attacking midfielder with a lot of strengths as a hybrid number 10.
