When speaking about the most successful foreign based Kenyan footballers, it is quite obvious that Victor Wanyama's name will be mentioned following his success at Beerschot, Celtic, Southampton, Tottenham Hotspurs and currently CF Montreal.Current updates indicate that Wanyama has hinted on his CF Montreal departure after the end of the current Major League Soccer (MLS) season as he will be out of contract.
"At the end of the season, I think I'll leave.I've enjoyed being part of the team. It's been great.I know at the end of the season, I'll be free to leave. As long as I'm here, my focus is on the games and to make sure we finish well. From there, I can have the chance to say goodbye," he said during one of CF Montreal's training sessions.
After this news, a number of Wanyama's fans were quick to share their views on the same and below is a sample of their reactions:
Despite the fact that the club holds an option to extend his contract by one year, his annual salary of US$ 3.91 million which translates to Ksh 472,525,500 might be too much to let CF Montreal offer Wanyama a one year contract extension.Which league do you think will be Wanyama's next destination?
