For the past few seasons N'Golo Kante has bossed as one of the best midfielders in the world with many football fans referring to him as a modern day player.

Kante has been so instrumental for Chelsea since joining them in 2016 from Leicester City where he has won them several trophies including the Premier League, Europa League and FA Cup.

The French international who is now turning 30 this year has seen his form dwindle due to injuries that have interrupted his fitness.

Despite N'Golo Kante contract running up to 2023 Frank Lampard may opt to sell the World Cup winner this summer.

Recently N'Golo Kante has been badly exposed at the midfield with him committing errors that have costed Chelsea heavily and with Chelsea been linked with Declan Rice from West Ham United, Kanté's exit from Chelsea is becoming imminent.

With Kanté expected to miss the next couple of matches owing to an injury young Scottish midfielder Billy Gilmour might be the man to replace Kanté as the young star has shown faith and potential to wear Kanté shoes.
