Why Manchester United Could Sell De Gea To Increase Pogba's Salary

Reports by The Sun claim that Manchester United are likely to pesuade the French Midfielder Paul Pogba to stay at Old Trafford.

Pogba's contract will be expiring in 2021 but before that the Red Devils can opt to sell him or extend his contract. According to The Sun, Pogba is alleged to be demanding a salary of half a million pounds per week if he was to extend his contract at Old Trafford.

In order to afford Pogba's salary Manchester United is likely to sell their goalkeeper David De Gea. De Gea seems to be competing with Dean Henderson for the Goalkeeper number one position with Dean Henderson.

While speaking on Pogba's future his manager Mino Raiola said " Pogba's future? The most important thing now is to know what Man United wants. What project they're proposing. He's interested in one thing: winning the Champions League and tittle, we are going to see where this is posible, if at United or at other clubs."
