Man Utd: Striker Scores on Debut, Forgotten Promising Defender, and Plan on Bailly Confirmed

Manchester United have a lot to look forward to in 17 year old talisman Giorgio Biancheiri. The sensational striker recently scored on his debut for the club in the U18 league, with the club scouts praising him for his resilience and work rate on the pitch. Although the game ended in a draw against Leeds United, the attacker was given the Man of the Match Award for his outstanding performance.

“Biancheiri is showing signs of a superstar early on. He is very progressive and confident despite his lean physique. He engages a lot with the other players: be it the wingers, full backs and even the central midfielders. The indications so far have been outstanding to say the least,” reported Ian Baker.

Speaking of young prospects, Manchester United seem to have completely forgotten about Brandon Williams. The 23 year old has not played a single minute this season much to the detriment of his chances of joining another team in the summer. Last season he was a regular for Norwich City but unfortunately his defensive record was very poor that the Canaries failed to fully commit to his move.

My opinion

Another player who is almost got forgotten is Eric Bailly. The center back has been a regular for Marseille this season and so far his performances have been exceptional to say the least. He has racked up 8 clean sheets in the 17 matches that he has started this season which is quite a commendable feat for a player who hasn’t been playing much football in recent years. Ten Hag is more than ready to sell Bailly on a permanent deal in the summer.

Victor Lindelof is slowly losing his patience with the manager at the club. The Swedish international is on the verge of being ousted as Sweden’s National team captain because he has not been playing much on the field. His compatriots believe that for him to grow in his role as a leader and a regular first eleven player, he has to play more.
