Arsenal Trigger Bukayo Saka and William Saliba Contract Extensions

Arsenal have triggered year-long extensions in the contracts of Bukayo Saka and William Saliba, as negotiations for new long-term deals. Saka and Saliba have been instrumental for the Gunners this season.

The latter were set to be free agents in the summer but the club has triggered a further year extension in their deals. The ESPN reports that the year-long clause extensions are set to run until the end of the 2023/24 campaign.

Arsenal will continue to hold negotiations with the players to sign new, long-term deals which will see the two receive increased wages. The two have featured in all 16 Premier League games so far this season, Saka has found the back of the nets six times and Saliba has scored twice.

Discussions over a new deal are also underway with Brazilian international current deal winning out in the summer of 2024. The forward has also been a key figure on Arsenal's frontline and has registered seven league goals so far.

Arsenal is hoping to secure the future of the youngsters hoping that they hold the future or the club in the coming years. Arsenal have been on fire this season, currently, they are sitting seven points clear at the summit having just lost once to Manchester United and registering a draw in 16 league games.

The Gunners will usher Newcastle on Tuesday before traveling to Tottenham for the North London Derby and then usher Manchester United to the Emirates.
