Chelsea have confirmed neither N’Golo Kante and Ruben Loftus-Cheek have not been included in their squad ahead of the club’s pre-season tour of America.
The Blues have travelled to the United States of America, where current rules forbid entry to the country for anyone who has not received the COVID vaccine.
Chelsea did not expand any further on the individual vaccine status of either Kante and Loftus-Cheek, simply confirming they were unable to make the journey, according to reports given by Reuters.
Manager Thomas said at the time that did not know how many of his players had been vaccinated and although he had taken the jab, he would not force others to do so.
Thomas Tuchel is already working with a depleted Chelsea squad due to departures of senior players this summer, has been dealt another blow for the club's preseason tour.
The team named a 29-man group to travel for a tour that includes matches against Mexican outfit Club America, Major League Soccer (MLS) franchise Charlotte FC and London rivals Arsenal.
