Manchester City head coach Pep Guardiola is still confident that his summer acquisition will live up to his reputation, but at the right time.
Manchester City after sailing for two seasons without an established natural number nine under guidance of Pep Guardiola broke their banks to acquire one in Earling Haaland for a total of £51 Million.
The Citizens were also quick to replace Fernadhino with Kalvin Philips this summer after the Brazilian made a decision to return to his boyhood club in his home town.
Since joining the Manchester based club, Kalvin Philips has been unused by Pep in his premier league openers while Earling Haaland has always been offered the first place in the starting lineup.
Despite the fact that Earling Haaland has already announced his arrival in the premier league, opening his account with a brace and providing an assist in just two appearances for the league leaders, football lovers still believe the Norwegian has not lived up to the expectations.
However, amid all these criticism that is directed at Manchester City's top finisher, Pep Guardiola chooses to defend his acquisition saying that Haaland should just be given time and he will get back to his old self.
"We are delighted with Erling," Guardiola said. "The little details still we miss but not just with him, with everything. It's just a question of time."
"I don't have any doubts, it's just a question of time like all the new players. The connections, the chemistry on the pitch, the right moments, the right tempo with the players. This is a question of games, games and games." Pep added.
This shows how Earling Haaland could be unstoppable in the premier league in the coming days.
