Former Manchester United star Goalkeeper and Argentine international, Sergio Romero has finally found a new club, several weeks after being released with the Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side, with him now joining Serie A side, Venezia in a sensational free transfer.
According to the latest reports from reputable Manchester United Correspondent, Jonathan Shrager, the 34 year old has signed a short term contract with the Winged Lions that will see him ply his trade at the Pier Luigi Penzo Stadium until at least June 2022 and hence, giving him an upper hand of potentially being included in the Argentina squad for the upcoming world cup in Qatar.
"Former United goalkeeper Romero to Venezia FC is now completed. Deal lasts until the end of this season (2021/22). Best of luck to Sergio," tweeted Shrager.
Meanwhile, in his appearances for the Red Devils, the Argentine international managed to clinch several clean sheets besides helping the Premier League giants to win a number of trophies including the 2017 Europa League title and hence, he will no doubt be a major upgrade to the Serie A side.
