Chelsea had welcomed Tottenham once again this season after defeating them 3-0 on aggregate two weeks ago in the Carabao cup semifinal. The Blues were looking forward to bounce back to their winning ways in the Premier League after staying for five matches without a win.
In today's match, the Blues kicked off with a high pace as they created multiple chances upfront. Both teams looked strong enough to win all the three points by the end of the final whistle.
Harry Kane had scored five minutes before the halftime whistle but it was ruled out after a VAR check. The match was goalless until in the second half where Ziyech opened the scoring in the 47th minute.
The Blues kept pressing on in search of the second goal and they finally grabbed it in the 55th minute after Thiago Silva scored a great header.
In that match, one of the Blues player who was on top form is Antonio Rudiger. The German international made sure their defence remained solid throughout the match by slowing down the pace of Harry kane and Bergwijn.
Kane is considered as one of the best finishers in the world. Last season, he was the top scorer of the Premier League after he found the back of the net 23 times. In today's match, he tried all means to unlock Chelsea's defence but Antonio Rudiger wouldn't give him a chance.
Rudiger blocked all Harry Kane shots and passes to make sure he didn't find the back of the net. The Blues ended up winning all the three points by the end of the final whistle.
This now means that Antonio Rudiger managed to silence Harry Kane in today's match.
