Man Utd: Ten Hag Pressing For Last-Minute Defender Deal, Antony Transfer Verdict

Hello there, Red Devil. Here are the most recent updates from Old Trafford.

Ten Hag may be about to complete his defensive makeover with a last-minute bid for Sergino Dest. According to People Person, citing Sky Sports' Dharmesh Sheth, the Red Devils are encouraging West Ham to sign Arron Wan Bissaka so that they can then pursue Dest. "West Ham have received a bit of encouragement that Manchester United would do business with them for Aaron Wan-Bissaka," said Sheth. "Simply because it is possible that United go for Sergino Dest."

Meanwhile, United confirmed today that they had reached an agreement with Ajax to bring Antony to Old Trafford. Much has been said about the winger's arrival, but no one captures what impact the 22-year-old could bring to Old Trafford better than his former Sao Paulo executive director, Alexandre Passaro.

"It may seem like he’s just a 22-year-old boy, that things are moving too fast for him and he doesn’t have much experience," said Passaro to the BBC, as quoted by United Focus.

"But I can tell you one thing: every coach that works with him doesn’t want to let him go. It has happened not only with Ten Hag, but with other coaches in Brazil like Andre Jardine and Tite.

"They have a different perception of Antony because they know the phenomenon that he is in his daily work, the absurd things that he does with the ball, and how talented he is.

"He’s the kind of player that delivers what you need and gives you no trouble."
