Pep Guardiola's squad was last night in action at the Goodison Park playing up against the Toffees where the in-form Manchester City extended their historic 17 wins in a row in all competitions.
The win against Everton was sealed by 3 very wonderful and magnificent goals from 20 years old Phil Foden, Riyad Mahrez and Bernardo Silva who also assisted in the second goal hence being voted Budeweiser MOTM!
The win comes as a surprise as Pep's boys played without the in-form Ikay Gundogan who has since January playing at his best after long term of injuries. The German man was left out of the team against Everton after he sustained some injury at the groin. However, City's boss hinted of his return in GW 25 where they will be playing against Arteta's Arsenal where he is hoping for another win. In the post match interview he said, "Sport doesn't wait next is Arsenal"
What does the win mean for Cityzens though? As in the PL history, Man city are at a greater chance of winning the PL 2020/2021. This is after they've gone 10 points clear above Man United and Leicester City, 12 above Chelsea and 16 above former Champions Liverpool. The only teams that ever failed to win the PL after going up 10 points clear are Newcastle United in 1995/96 season and Manchester United 1997/1998.
City is expected to continue winning and are highly advantaged following the return of Kevin De Bruyne who returned from a short period of slight injury. He was substituted in for Sterling at the 78th minute at the Home of the Toffees and appeared to be smiling hinting how good it was to be back. Sergio Aguero is also slowly coming back after he suffered an injury the better part of last season and with positive covid 19 test.
Man City is unstoppable and fans are awaiting the grand win in top 4 competitions this year;Carabao, FA, PL and UCL !!
