Jurgen Klopp's side outclassed the gunners to record a resounding 3-0 win at the Emirates stadium yesterday. A brace from the inform Diego Jota and a goal from Salah was enough for the reds to seal the three points and take the bragging rights back home.
Liverpool climbed to 5th in the PL table with 49 points only 2 points behind 4th placed Chelsea, while Arsenal remained 9th as their bid for a top four finish seems impossible after their staggering loss.
After struggling for long spells this campaign, Liverpool have recently rediscovered their form which is due to the work rate of Diego Jota who was out for most of the season because of injury. The return of the Portuguese international has sparked the Reds attack which had struggled infront of goal without him, leading them to 3 successive wins since his return.
Yesterday against Arsenal, Jota started in the bench but was incredible after he was introduced in the 61st minute. He quicky made an impact in the match which was deadlock at 0-0 by opening the scoring 3 minutes later and added a second in the 81st minute, his presence in the team prompted to a flow in attack that allowed his teammates to pressure the gunners who had defended well for most of the game.
The 24 year old is good finisher and would have been hitting double figures as long as the Goalscoring exploits are concerned if he would have been present the entire season. Salah's tally of 18 goals in the PL is incredible, considering the fact that Liverpool have been out of form for most of the season, but with Jota in the squad it's clear that the Reds attack is more fluent going forward.
