Official Done Deal Pochettino Signs New Contract Until 2023

Mauricio Pochettino has signed a contract extension that will keep him tied to Paris Saint-Germain until 2023.

Pochettino and Levy have since held positive talks regarding the club’s direction and the announcement that the manager has agreed to fresh terms could not be better timed.

The Argentine coach joined the French side in January, replacing Thomas Tuchel at the helm.

Pochettino did guide the team to two trophies, however, winning the Trophee des Champions and Coupe de France.

PSG has done something similar, with Director of Sport Leonardo now saying that Pochettino’s contract runs through the end of the 2022-23 season.

And PSG chairman Nasser Al-Khelaifi added: “We are delighted that Mauricio has reaffirmed his commitment to the Paris Saint-Germain family.

Pochettino's initial deal was set to expire in 2022 but he and his coaching staff have committed for another 12 months.

Pochettino failed to win Ligue 1 last term but did take PSG to the Champions League semi-final, where they lost to Manchester City.
