Erick Marcelo Ouma is a Kenyan professional footballer. Ouma plays as a left-back defender for Harambee Stars and his current club AIK in Sweden.
Today his team hosted Goteborg in Arena Stadium. It was a match that both sides were fighting to collect all three points. AIK went ahead in the 5th minute through Nord Bahoui. Bahoui netted the second one in the 13th minute after a swift counterattack.
Harambee Stars' defender Eric Ouma surprised many after he surged forward and overpowered two defenders before releasing a powerful shot past the Goteborg goalkeeper. Here is the video link of his goal.
The win moves the AIK club to position one in the table standings with 40 points in 19 matches. Goteborg remains deep at the bottom with just 24 points from the same number of matches.
In my view, he is making Kenyan football fans proud. At the same time, he is encouraging other local-based players that they can do better abroad.
