Arsenal are set to stay on top of the league until Christmas. This is after todays results. Manchester City played an early kickoff match against London side Brentford. The Bees took an early lead via Ivan Toney only for Phil Foden to equalize before half time. The game stayed level for some time as City hoped to hold on for sole minutes. A draw would have lessened the gap opened by Arsenal. This would however not be the case as Brentford scored a stoppage minute goal via Ivan Toney yet again. 2:1 was the final score line in favour of Brentford who didn't go to the match as favourites.
Arsenal now top the league with 34 point's ahead of their game against Wolves set to take place later tonight. Manchester City come second with thirty two points having played a game more than Arsenal. Irregardless of Arsenal's result tonight, they will be on top of the league till after world cup.
