Faith Kipyegon wins Monaco diamond league missing new world record with a whisker

Kenyan 1500 metres medalist Faith Kipyegon won her 1500 metres race in Monaco yesterday evening despite missing the world record.The Kenyan clocked 3.50.37 minutes while the world record is at 3.50.07 minutes. The 28years old was expecting to break the world record after what has been an impressive year for her.She had one of the best outings in the world championship where she won the first gold medal for kenya in 1500 metres race.

Faith Kipyegon won her race but failed to accomplish her mission. The celebrated athlete will now focus on other races as she hopes to beat the record set by Genzebe Dibaba.We hope she will achieve her mission before her retirement.
