Breaking News: Harambee Stars Game With Tanzania Has Been postponed

Harambee Stars were to host the Tanzanian national team at Nyayo stadium in a friendly game. However the game has been postponed after the sudden demise of the Tanzanian president John Pombe Magufuli who died on Wednesday night after struggling with Heart disease at Jakaya Kikwete Hospital.

The match has been postponed to mourn the fallen hero. The Tanzanian vice president who now takes the throne as the president announced 14 days of mourning the president and planning for the funeral of the East African president.

Harambee Stars had played earlier this week with Tanzania and won 3-1 away and this was to be a return game . Both are preparing for the CAF qualifications fixtures set before the end of this month. Stars will face Togo and afterward welcome Egypt national team to book qualifications to the AFCON.

Magufuli was focused to developing talents and has been in the forefront to support the national football team. He will be remembered for his selfless service to developing Tanzania and boosting their economy to a competitive level in east africa and Africa.
