Chelsea Vs Wolves, Match Preview Team News and Possible Lineups

Chelsea will usher Wolverhampton Wanderers at the Stamford Bridge today afternoon hoping to continue with their winning form in the Premier League to make it three straight wins in a row.

Graham Potter's side managed 2-1 win over Crystal Palace last time out at Selhurst park while Wolves were defeated 2-0 by the Hammers at London stadium. Chelsea also saw off heading AC Milan, beating them 3-0 on Wednesday night in their Group E Champions League fixture.

Only four points separate Chelsea from the third placed Tottenham Hotspur. The Blues however drawn all games against Wolves and have not managed them in the Premier League since July 2020.

Wolves who are 18th placed on the other hand sacked Bruno Lage following a 2-0 defeat to West Ham. which left the team in 18th position in the table on six points. Julen Lopetegui who left Sevilla, is believed to be the successor of Bruno Lage.

Chelsea Team News and Possible Lineup:

N'Golo Kante who has been been a long-term absentee will once more miss the home class after picking up a fresh thigh injury. Wesley Fofana was on the scoresheet with the opening goal against AC Milan but later on picked up knee injury and is set to miss today's fixture. Chalobah is likely to get some minutes in his place.

Possible lineup:

Kepa to start on goal. Chalobah, T Silva, Koulibaly and James to form the backline. Jorginho, Kovacic and Cucurella to play at midfield while Sterling, Aubameyang and Mount will lead in attack.


Wolves Team News and Possible Lineup:

Key Wolves player's are sidelined including Sasa Kalajdzic, Raul Jimenez, Pedro Neto and Chiquinho and they will miss today's trip to Stamford Bridge. Nathan Collins and Ruben Neves will also miss after being suspended. Diego Costa come off the bench during their loss at West Ham and could be handed a start against his former club.

Possible lineup:

Sa to start between the sticks. Semedo, Toti, Kilman and Jonny to form the back-four. Nunes, B Traore and Moutinho to play at midfield while Guedes, Costa and Podence will start upfront.
