Thomas Tuchel was dismissed as Paris Saint Germain coach two years after leading them to two Ligue 1 triumphs and first ever UEFA Champions League final where they lost 1-0 to Bayern Munich. It is understood that Tuchel was not in good terms with his employers. This came at an hample time when Chelsea were struggling with form sacking lengend Frank Lampard as manager consequently appointing Tuchel. He led them to their 2nd UCL trophy.
In his tenure as Chelsea manager, Tuchel has breathed new life to players Rudiger, Mount, Kante and possibly Jorginho who was struggling in Lampard's era. He has also had some important additions in his attacking armoury with the latest signing of Romelu Lukaku for a club record fee of £97.3 million. Tuchel has hailed Lukaku and Kante for their exemplary ball playing abilities and their work rate on the pitch.
Despite hailing Lukaku and Kante, there is one star player who has been crucial in Tuchel's era at the Stamford Bridge. Jorginho who won the best player of 2020/21 UCL season was pivotal in Italy's Euro 2020 triumph in England's home soil. He also bagged the player of the tournament in Euro 2020. Tuchel believes Jorginho deserves to win the hotly contested Ballon d'Or award this November. He is competing with the likes of Ronaldo, Messi, Halaand, Lewandowski, Bruno Fernandes and Mbappe.
