Manchester City leads at the summit of the premier league standings with 47 points 3 points ahead of second placed Manchester United. The Citizens have played one match less as compared to the red devils. They have been in an electrocuting form off late slaying every opponent they meet on the way.
Manchester City are now unbeaten in 20 premier league matches. Their last defeat came from Jose Mourinho's side Tottenham Hotspur on November 31st. They are finding joy and pride in every battle just as the motto in their badge suggest (pride in battles).
Liverpool on the other side have found themselves underperforming and struggling to keep consistent results. They have lost against Burnley and now Brighton at Anfield where they had made a fortress in the last 3 years. Everyone playing at Anfield today feels like they are playing at their own tuff since Anfield does not scare them anymore.
Yesterday's defeat at the hands of a Brighton side speakers volumes about they title ambitions. Their next match is on 6th against Manchester City. If the Citizens (favourite) win Liverpool will be out of the title race.
