It must have been a frustrating week for Manchester United after they were knocked out of Carabao League Cup on Wednesday evening by West Ham United. One key player who would have helped the club against West Ham was absent. Edinson Cavani helped The Red Devils to reach the UEFA Europa league finals last season. Man United lost to West Ham on his absence.
Man United manager has however assured fans that Cavani will be present in the squad this weekend in the game against Aston Villa.
“Edinson has joined in training fully after that game and he’s held his hand up and is ready.” Ole Gunnar said when he was asked about the Uruguayan in a press conference.
Solskjaer also informed the media that Cavani got a slight strain in international break, but he is ready again. Cavani did not play in preseason games but the manager is confident that the 34 year old will contribute greatly.
This was indeed good news for that fans as they thought they lacked a well experienced finisher apart from Christiano Ronaldo, who did not play on Wednesday's game.
