Aaron Ramsdale has completely overshadowed Bernd Leno in the goalkeeping department at the Emirates and it is no longer a secret that Ramsdale is the preferred number one goalkeeper at the club. This fact has taunted a lot of fans into urging Bernd Leno to pull up his socks and revise his playing style or else Aaron Ramsdale will permanently kick him out of the number one spot. One advantage that Ramsdale has over Leno is his ability to make accurate long-range passes and it has been rumored that Leno is practicing very hard to learn the art.
It is beyond a shadow of a doubt that Leno will start against Leeds United during the midweek but that will not give him as much confidence as he would get when playing in the English Premier League. All in all, Leno has to step up his fierceness so that he can reclaim his position as Arsenal’s number one goalkeeper choice.
Thomas Partey finally scored his first Arsenal goal yesternight after heading in a whipping corner from Emile Smith Rowe. Thomas Partey now becomes the first Ghanian player to score for the Gunners in the Club’s history. Following this success, Arsenal fans now expect even more goals from the Ghanian who is known for taking speculative shots outside the 18-yard box.
Partey has been Arsenal’s best recent signing by far and Mikel Arteta is finally ripping the fruits of signing the 29-year-old on last year’s deadline day. Pressure will however be on the Ghanian as he will be expected to deliver even more outstanding performances in the upcoming fixtures.
Aubameyang and Lacazette
The dynamic duo- Lacazette, and Aubameyang at the frontline has proven to be very effective if Arsenal’s goal attempts are anything to go by. Arsenal made 12 attempts in the first half against Aston Villa and this is good progress when compared to the last recent performances. Fans now expect Arteta to do what is right and give Lacazette more playing minutes.
