Arsenal: Gunner's Target Compared to Gareth Bale, Injury News Ahead of Newcastle Utd, Odegaard's Masterclass

Aaron Hickey

Arsenal have been linked heavily with Bologna left back Aaron Hickey who is currently topping the charts in the Italian Serie A. The 19 year has previously been compared to Gareth Bale because of the way he multitasks between playing as a defender as well as a winger. Hickey has a two year contract with Bologna but with the rising interest shown by Arteta, there is a high chance that a transfer might materialize in the summer.

Nuno Tavares has been struggling alot to play in the English Premier and sources at the club have hinted that Arteta might decide to loan the Portuguese defender to another club in the summer. The information about Hickey is still quite vague at the moment because the Scottish international has not clarified what he thinks of his future at Bologna.

Mikel Arteta

Mikel Arteta is still worried about Ben White's fitness but is at the same time optimistic that he will return to full fitness before the clash against Newcastle United on Monday. Ben White was on the bench against Tottenham Hotspur on Thursday and Arteta did not want to risk his fitness by deploying him after Rob Holding was sent off in the 33rd minute. If Ben White is not fit for the match against Newcastle United on Monday night, then there is a high chance that Granit Xhaka will be paired alongside Tomiyasu in central defense.

As for Bukayo Saka, he has been complaining about headaches and stomach aches but Mikel Arteta is hoping that the medical team will deliver some good news tomorrow. Nicolas Pepe is on stand by if Bukayo Saka is not 100% fit.

Martin Odegaard

Martin Odegaard has been one of the standout perfomers for Arsenal this season because he has been involved in almost all Arsenal games. His contribution in attack has been immense and fans are hoping that the same intensity is transitioned to next season when Arsenal will be chasing for even bigger goals.
